Granting Czech Government Scholarships in 2013 – 2018

The Government of the Czech Republic offers scholarships within the framework of its Foreign Development Assistance in support of the study of foreign nationals from developing countries (out of EU) at public institutions of higher education in the Czech Republic.

 The Government Scholarships are designed to cover the following studies (in English):

  • selected follow-up Master’s study programmes (one- to three-year long);
  • selected Doctoral study programmes (three- to four-year long).

 Study areas available in English are economics, agriculture, informatics, environment and enegretics.

 The scholarship covers the necessary costs related to staying and studying in the Czech Republic. Currently the amount paid to students on a Bachelor’s, Master’s or follow-up Master’s study programme stands at CZK 14,000 per month (approx. €500), whereas the amount paid to students of a Doctoral study programme stands at CZK 15,000 per month (approx. €540).

 Note, that an application for a scholarship can only be submitted through a Diplomatic Mission of the Czech Republic in the given country. Each applicant is obliged to fill in an electronic application form by 30 September of the year prior to the given academic year at the latest (i.e. the calendar year that precedes the academic year for which scholarships are offered). For more information, please check out the Guidelines for Granting Scholarships of the Government of The Czech Republic (in Russian, in English). Please find full list of the universities on the website.
