Human Rights Tulip Annual Award
The Human Right Tulip is an annual award of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands for courageous human rights defenders who promote and support human rights in innovative ways. An independent jury will pick the three best candidates from the online poll and will also select three ‘wild cards’: promising candidates with a smaller public network. The jury will advise the Minister of Foreign Affairs, who will choose the winner. This year’s Human Rights Tulip will be presented on 9 December 2014.
The award comes with support worth €100.000 to further develop and scale up their innovation. The winner can use this to further develop or expand the scale of their work for human rights. In this way the prize benefits more people in more places.
Eligibility: individuals or organisations that promote human rights worldwide in innovative ways. Individuals and organizations can nominate themselves directly. Nominations can be made by filling in the online nomination form. Deadline: 8 September 2014. Fore more information, please, follow the link.
