JEF International Seminar “Europe 2.0 – NOW!” in Strasbourg, France!

Co-organised by JEF Europe and JEF France, the International Seminar “Europe 2.0 – Now!” will take place in Strasbourg from 11th to 15th November 2015.

About the Seminar – “Democracy Upgraded to YOUth!”

This last seminar of the 2015 Work Plan “Europe 2.0: Democracy Upgraded” will wrap out the outcomes of the three previous international activities. It will mainly consist of workshops followed by a public event in which participants to the previous activities will get the opportunity to discuss the results of the work plan with relevant European stakeholders. The publication “Europe 2.0: European Democracy Upgraded” will collect the proposals made by young people and youth organization for an updated and upgraded democracy in Europe, and present them to policymakers.

How will it work?
The methodological approach of the seminar will ensure that the principles of non-formal education are fully respected. This means that the participants will be offered possibilities to be fully engage in planning and achieving their learning through various experiential processes (role plays), small group work, expert input and open debates. Related to the inputs provided by external speakers, JEF Europe and JEF France will ensure that the speakers who will come to address the participants with their expert input will be very experienced and able to engage youth in active and meaningful dialogue.

Practical Information
Deadline for Applications: 6 October 2015
Participation fee: 90€ (Additionally, 8 scholarships of 30€ each will be awarded to applicants based on their motivation letters)
Reduced participation fee: 40€ applies to local participants (exempt from scholarship)
Travel reimbursement: 70% of the travel costs (up to max. 150€)
*JEF Europe and JEF France will assist with visa procedures if needed.
**Do not book your ticket and/or pay the participation fee before you receive an e-mail confirmation regarding your selection
***Cancellation policy: Participants who have been confirmed and have paid their participation fee, but cancel their participation after 20 October 2015 will receive 50% of their participation fee. Cancellations after 27 October are not refundable at all!
