Meet the Georgian writer, playwright and scriptwriter David (Dato) Turashvili. The meeting is held within the framework of the “European Intercultural Festival” and will take place on September 5, 2014 at 7 p.m in Minsk (CECH, Niezaleznasci avenue, 58/6, 2nd floor, entrance by Brouki stret). Admission is free, but preliminary registration by e-mail info@odb-office.eu is required.

The film “Love with an Accent” (Georgia, Russia) is to be shown within the scope of the meeting with the Georgian writer David Turashvili. The idea of the film is that true love is beyond borders, law and nationalities. David Turashvili is one of its scriptwriters. Born in Tbilisi in 1966, Turashvili has written numerous works of prose, several film scripts and prize-winning plays. His most successful book  «Generation Jeans”  (“Flight from the USSR”) is considered to be the bestseller #1 in Georgia for the last 20 years, and as well printed in the Netherlands, Turkey, Croatia, Italy and Germany. David Turashvili has published all in all 17 books. As a playwright David has worked with the world-known Georgian theater director Robert Sturua. Turashvili is married and has three daughters.
