On December 1, 2014, Brest will host a sectoral discussion "Regional and Local Development in Brest Region".
The discussion will give a space to present the results of the sector of regional and local development in Brest Region, as well as similar data for the Republic of Belarus.

On October 30, 2014, “Ў” gallery will host a public lecture "The Role of Advertising in Creating the Image of Women and Men: a Mirror or a Conveyor?" by a Belarusian expert Iryna Alkhouka. The lecture will be dedicated to the role of advertising in gender stereotyping, gender relations and socialization, approaches to regulating gender offensive advertising, sexism in advertising and ways of reacting to it.
At the public lecture Iryna Alkhouka will talk about the modern role of advertising in creating the image of men and women.

“Office for a Democratic Belarus” in coordination with “Marketing.by” project invites to the lecture by Carita Peltonen “Women, men and media. Is there a gender problem?” that will take place on September 12, 2014 from 18.00 to 20.00 in Minsk (Blvrd. Talbukhina, 2, lecture room 227a, metro station “Park Caluskincau”). Admission is free, but preliminary registration by e-mail info@odb-office.eu is required. Registration deadline is September, 9, 2014. The lecture is held within the framework of the “European Intercultural Festival”.
