At the end of the year It is traditional to look back on one’s achievements, and we decided to take stop of our work in 2018. We organized about 80 events: seminars, round tables, forums and trainings, expert meetings and working groups. We are grateful to our colleagues, partners and experts for being with us throughout all that time. It is a great pleasure for us to work with you, and we look forward to new successful, interesting and useful cooperation in 2019.

One of the speakers at the panel discussion “Social entrepreneurship as a sustainable model to solve problems of various target groups” held within the framework of the IV Republican Social Forum was Phil Tulba, a UK expert and director of Tulba Consulting, who discussed economic effectiveness and the role of the state in social entrepreneurship. He also presented a number of working models of achieving sustainable social impact and generating profits, using a number of social enterprises in Great Britain as examples.

In early November, a discussion “Measuring Social and Economic Impact of Programmes and Social Enterprises in Germany and Belarus” was held as part of the IV Republican Social Forum. The discussion, which was organized by the Programme of Support of the Federal Government of Germany and ODB Brussels, brought together a number of Belarusian and European experts.

On October 23, the conference room of DoubleTree Hotel by Hilton Minsk hosted a round table "Social entrepreneurship: growth barriers and development prospects". On August 11th, "EcoLife"  Adult  and Children Leisure Centre hosted a family eco-picnic, having brought together several hundred guests and residents of Barauliany. "EcoLife"  was a part of the Biz4all social entrepreneurship training programme. While some people at the picnic were playing petanque, teenagers had fun with teachers of stage speech and acting, and children tried home-made cheese and bought fresh squeezed watermelon juice, we spoke to Aksana Bernatskaya, director of the Centre, about the motivation to organize free neighbourhood picnics, ways to help develop businesses and sources of inspiration.
