At the end of the year It is traditional to look back on one’s achievements, and we decided to take stop of our work in 2018. We organized about 80 events: seminars, round tables, forums and trainings, expert meetings and working groups. We are grateful to our colleagues, partners and experts for being with us throughout all that time. It is a great pleasure for us to work with you, and we look forward to new successful, interesting and useful cooperation in 2019.
Experts of our organization regularly participated in round tables devoted to developing recommendations for improving the working conditions of social entrepreneurs in Belarus, including in the framework of the Standing Committee of the House of Representatives on Labor and Social Issues on the Prospects for the Development of Legislative Regulation of Social Entrepreneurship in Belarus.
In 2018, ODB Brussels organized a long-term social entrepreneurship training Biz4all-2, , which was held within the framework of the "Social Entrepreneurship Incubator" program with financial support from the European Union. The training, which lasted six months and included online and offline training, was attended by more than 70 people. During this time we conducted 20 two-day seminars and trainings in Minsk.
On our website, you can also read on our site you can read about the teams that took part in Biz4all-2: how they came up with the idea of social business and what projects they are working on now. In 2018, the team of ODB Brussels too part in 7 forums as main organizers or facilitators of thematic sessions. These forums, held in Belarus, Lithuania and Latvia, were attended by about 1000 people.
Together with our partners and colleagues we held over forty different events in the past year, which were all one way or another dedicated to social entrepreneurship: round tables, trainings, inspirational meetings with experts and serminars.
It should be noted separately that i n 2018 ODB Brussels in partnership with the "Dobra" foundation organized an international social startup contest SAP UP in Belarus. We held three competition events, including the final, actively worked together with the jury members to determine the finalists from more than a hundred applications sent by Belarusian social enterprises.
We would also like to share our achievements in informing Belarusians about developments in the social entrepreneurship sector in the country and the world. In 2018, we wrote and published 100 copyright articles on our website.
Our subscribers receive a weekly newsletter with announcements about free opportunities for formal and non-formal education in Belarus and other countries of the world, as well as open competitions and grant programs. In 2018, we sent out 54 newsletters, and 554 announcements were published on the site!

We have also uploaded 25 albums with photos from our events and made 14 videos, which are available on our website and on our Facebook page.
A month ago we also started our Telegram channel “Varushisya!” (“Get a Move On!”), so that information and free opportunities for personal and professional growth are even more accessible to all! Join us, we already have almost 400 followers!
